Notes from Our Screening Call
Shivani is a versatile product designer with 2.5 years of experience at early-stage startups, specializing in product, branding, and marketing design. she’s self-taught, strong in figma, and actively learning blender and framer. her web design skills are the best among the candidates—her homepage redesign assignment was a clear standout.
She’s led brand evolution projects (like atog, a female wellness brand), developed logo systems, and produced consistent, high-quality marketing collateral. shivani’s approach is thoughtful and user-focused, prioritizing founder vision, research, and real feedback. she’s based in mysore, flexible on compensation, and open to mentorship. overall, she’s my top recommendation for the role.

Mitr Nanda
Availability: Immediately
Notes from Our Screening Call
mitr is a recent design graduate (ups, 2025) with a strong foundation in branding, ui/ux, and 3d animation. his portfolio shows a broad range, from web and app design to vfx, photography, and custom-coded websites (built his own site using wordpress/elementor, css, and js). mitr has interned at desmania and completed several freelance projects, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn new tools (he’s comfortable with front end, ai platforms, and more). he’s most passionate about 3d/vfx but considers branding and ui/ux his core strengths.
In our intro call, mitr came across as thoughtful and self-aware. he’s been on a break for health reasons but is now ready to take on a founding designer role. his assignment stood out for the thumbnail (creative, platform-appropriate, visually engaging), though the web design was average and may need mentorship. overall, mitr brings a wide skill set and an eagerness to grow—i recommend him as a strong second choice for the feministaa brand designer role, especially if you value versatility and potential.

Arushi Shandilya
Availability: Immediately
Notes from Our Screening Call
arushi is a recent nift grad with some basic graphic design and illustration skills. her overall design skills are currently not at the level we need for this role. she would need significant grooming and development before being ready for a full-time design position. not recommending her for now.

Bidisha Biswas
Availability: Immediately
Notes from Our Screening Call
bidisha is a 4th year interaction design student at usdi, delhi, with a focus on branding, visual design, and research. her portfolio highlights strong storytelling and research skills, especially in projects like hanaju and virasat. she’s comfortable with figma for ui design and micro-interactions, but her web design and branding execution still need work. her interests lean more towards research and product design than hands-on branding or web projects. communication and research are clear strengths, but she’s not ready for a full-time design role. if we need support for user interviews or market research, she could be a good fit as an intern or contractor.
